According to CITS Constitution the Executive Board is elected and not appointed.
The Constitution is descriptive of the procedures to be followed.
The CITS will be run by a bottom up organizational committee representing all members: teacher scholars, research scholars and administrative staff, and not by an appointed central committee. This ensures the CITS is owned by nobody and is run democratically through voting, expressing the needs of its members.
CITS is neither public nor private. It is a Cooperative for Higher Education as a Commons.
