Kirk Helliker

Kirk Helliker is Head of the Department of Sociology at the university currently known as Rhodes in South Africa and is also Director of the Unit of Zimbabwean Studies which falls under the department.He teaches the following: Contemporary Social Theory, State and Society, Agrarian and Land Studies, Theories of Emancipation, Zimbabwean Studies, and Latin American Studies. His research interests are: agrarian and land reform, civil society and social movements, politics of emancipation, and Zimbabwean studies.
